Along for the ride is now complete! We would like to thank Louis and all the extras who helped us get our amazing shots. Howlin’, the song Provided by Thee Evil Twin, gave us so much inspiration for our action sequences. Finally, we owe so much of what we have achieved to the staff of The University of Newcastle, particularly our tutor, Cathie Payne and Technical Officer, George Hyde. Make sure you come to Festival X to catch the inaugural screening of Along For The Ride!

Production Underway
As week 8 arrives we have begun to gather our footage and assemble it. Most of the material acquired so far are location and action shots, however we also conducted an interview with our main character, Louis. We will likely need to do a re-shoot for the interview as there were some sound issues and it would give us a chance to try and make Louis a bit more comfortable on camera.
we will likely be able to make a rough edit with what we have which will then inform us on what needs to improved and what is missing in terms of making the story and images flow. At this stage we don’t have any further shoots planned, however all participants so far have express willingness to come back for re-shoots if necessary.
About Our Project
Louis is mountain biker who has spent years cultivating and refining his skills in Glenrock, his local trails. However, his early years were fraught with hardship. He was the slowest of his friends, never able to win a race. Later on he was plagued by injury after injury. Despite this Louis has not lost his passion for getting out on the trails and riding his bike. Along for the Ride explores his deep-seated emotional connection to the sport, helping him stick with it through thick and thin.
